Thank you for visiting our website! My name is Joe Rice. I have the honor of representing House District 38 in the Colorado State House of Representatives at the State Capitol in Denver. I was first elected in 2006 and was re-elected in 2008 as the Democratic candidate. I am honored to be endorsed by a wide range of Democrats, Republicans, and Independents.
We have much to be thankful for in Colorado: a beautiful state, a great quality of life, and an economy that continues to attract new industries and jobs. But we must continue taking the steps necessary to preserve and enhance the quality of life in our state for both current and future generations.
During the 2007 and 2008 legislative sessions, we passed a number of laws to help our economy be more productive, our schools more effective, and our health care more affordable. We also rocketed Colorado to the forefront of the new energy economy, implementing a number of measures to promote the development of renewable energy in Colorado.
Major issues still facing Colorado include comprehensive healthcare reform, how to further improve education, continuing to promote a healthy business climate, protecting our environment, furthering our use of renewable energy, and addressing our aging transportation infrastructure.
Please let me know your questions and thoughts on issues important to you. I'd love to hear from you, and I promise to get back in touch with you personally. Sincerely,
Joe Rice
